• 2× Stronger Bass: Google redesigned the audio hardware to include a custom 40mm driver. The bass is twice as powerful as the original Home Mini, creating a significantly richer, deeper 360-degree sound profile that fills small-to-medium rooms much better.

• Third Far-Field Microphone: It upgrades to a 3-microphone array (instead of 2). This allows the device to hear your “Hey Google” commands much better in noisy environments or when music is playing loudly.

• On-Device Machine Learning: It features a dedicated on-device AI chip with up to 1 TeraOPS of processing power. It learns your most common commands locally, allowing Google Assistant to respond much faster to routine requests like turning off lights.
