The regular iteration of Amazfit Bip 3 comes with a 1.69 inch TFT-LCD with pixel density of 218ppi and 240 x 280 pixel resolution. This is protected by 2.5D tempered glass. To remind, the last timepieces in the range (Bip U and U Pro) have a 1.43-inch screen. Which means this a significant boost in display size.
As is typically the case with each subsequent generation, there are also some tweaks in design. Amazfit Bip 3 has, what we would consider, a “cleaner” look.
Excellent battery life is one of the most recognisable features of the Bip range. We’re happy to report that Bip 3 continues with this tradition. It comes with a 280 mAh battery which allows for two weeks between charges with normal use and about a half of that with heavy use.
As far as actual functionality, Bip 3 takes the number of sports modes up to 60. There’s a BioTracker™ 2 PPG biometric sensor onboard and a 3-axis acceleration sensor. They can track heart rate, activity, sleep and stress around the clock and support manual measurements of blood-oxygen saturation. Other functionality includes breathing exercises, abnormally high heart rate alerts and menstrual cycle tracking.
Mind you, there’s no built-in GPS. S. o you will need to rely on your smartphone for that.
You can make the device your own with a choice of 50 dial themes. The dimensions of the watch are slightly larger than previously, coming in at 44.12 x 36.49 x 9.65mm. This was probably necessary in order to accommodate the new display. The weight is only 33 grams.
